Troy Web Consulting ranked No. 8 among Albany–Schenectady–Troy companies on the 2026 Inc. 5000, and No. 218 nationally in IT Services, based on independently verified revenue growth from 2022 to 2025 — from a 100% onshore software firm that has been building in the Capital Region since 2002 and has never taken outside investment.
Troy Web Consulting has been named to the 2026 Inc. 5000, Inc. magazine's annual ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in America. It's our first time on the list, and we placed No. 8 among honorees in the Albany–Schenectady–Troy metro area.
The full set of rankings:
- No. 8 — Albany–Schenectady–Troy metro
- No. 218 — IT Services, nationally
- No. 243 — New York State
- No. 3,395 — overall
All of it reflects revenue growth from 2022 to 2025, independently verified by Inc.
What those numbers measure matters more than the numbers themselves. The Inc. 5000 is scored on audited revenue growth, not on nominations, submissions, or client sentiment. It is one of the few pieces of independently verified financial evidence a privately held company can point to — which is precisely why it's useful to the people who evaluate us.
Why this one is different for us
Most of the recognition on this page measures what clients say about our work. This one measures what the business did.
If you are evaluating a software partner for a multi-year build in a regulated industry, the question underneath every other question is whether the firm you pick will still be there — funded, staffed, and accountable — when the project is in year three. That question is usually answered with assurances. This is one of the few times we can answer it with third-party data.
Where the growth came from
The three years this ranking measures were years of going deeper rather than wider. We took on more work in the industries where the compliance burden is heaviest and the tolerance for failure is lowest:
- Healthcare. 340B financial processing for Hudson Headwaters Health Network under HRSA regulation, and chronic-disease program platforms for the National Association of Chronic Disease Directors.
- Energy and environmental. Environmental data systems for the Groundwater Protection Council tracking more than 96,000 orphan wells, and digital platforms for the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
- Workforce and education. The Caring Gene® workforce program, which has enrolled more than 1,500 students.
Almost all of that is expansion work with clients who were already with us. In a services business, that is what growth actually is.
What we didn't do
We didn't raise outside capital. We didn't move development offshore. We didn't grow by taking on work we weren't equipped to deliver.
Troy Web has been building software in New York's Capital Region since 2002, with a team based entirely in the United States. Most companies on the Inc. 5000 are young and venture-backed. We have been at this for more than two decades and are still independently held, which makes this a slightly unusual list for us to appear on — and, we think, a more useful signal because of it.
The part that isn't about growth
Fast growth is not the goal. Predictable delivery is. More than half of large-scale technology implementations miss their time, cost, or scope targets, and the reason clients come to us is usually that they've already lived through one that did.
Growth is what happens when that goes right often enough. It's the result, not the strategy.
Thank you
To every client who trusted us with something difficult over the past three years, and to a team that keeps choosing to do the harder, more careful version of the work: this is yours.
