The Challenge

The Challenge

UThisMe began with a singular focus: privacy. The founders wanted to create a messaging system where texts were "cloaked," appearing as mundane notifications to prying eyes but revealing encrypted content to the intended recipient.

Recognizing the power of this secure architecture, UThisMe partnered with Columbia Memorial Hospital to apply their technology to a higher-stakes environment: Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM). The goal was to track patients discharged with critical conditions like Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) and Pneumonia.

Key Challenges
  • Adapting a consumer privacy application to meet stringent healthcare regulatory requirements
  • Building secure infrastructure for transmitting sensitive patient health data
  • Integrating real-time monitoring for critical conditions like Congestive Heart Failure and Pneumonia
  • Ensuring 24/7 reliability for a system where downtime could mean missed vital sign alerts
The Solution

Our Solution

TWC acted as the full-stack engineering partner. We built the core iOS mobile client and the web-based dashboard for clinicians, ensuring the entire pipeline was HIPAA compliant from day one. We implemented the client's patented encryption methods.

We approached the UX with a "Design Refresh" mindset. We stripped away unnecessary complexity, creating an interface with large, clear touchpoints that allowed patients to easily answer daily health questions and sync their biometric devices.

Patented Security

Unique cloaking technology hiding encrypted messages in plain sight

Senior-Friendly UX

Large, clear touchpoints for elderly and disabled patients

IoT Integration

Bluetooth Low Energy connecting medical devices seamlessly
