The Challenge

The Challenge

AngioDynamics operates at the intersection of medical device innovation and patient care. For patients with critical conditions, constant monitoring is a matter of life and death. However, the landscape of medical devices is often fragmented, with patients required to manage multiple peripherals (scales, cuffs, oximeters) that don't "speak" to each other.

The technical challenge was interoperability. Data from various Bluetooth-enabled sensors needed to be ingested, normalized, and displayed in real-time. But the human challenge was even greater: the end-users are often elderly or critically ill. A complex, "engineer-focused" interface would result in poor adoption and potentially dangerous data gaps.

Key Challenges
  • Multiple Bluetooth-enabled medical devices that couldn't communicate with each other
  • Data from various sensors needed real-time normalization and unified display
  • End-users were often elderly or critically ill, requiring an exceptionally simple interface
  • Poor adoption due to complex interfaces could create dangerous gaps in patient monitoring
The Solution

Our Solution

TWC acted as the bridge between hardware complexity and user simplicity. We adopted a human-centered approach, recognizing that the technology needed to fade into the background. We engineered a robust mobile architecture capable of connecting to various IoT medical peripherals simultaneously without overwhelming the device's resources or the user's patience.

We built a "clean and easy-to-check interface" that aggregated disparate data points—Heart Rate, Blood Pressure, Weight, and SpO2—into a single, legible dashboard. This design prioritized accessibility, ensuring high contrast and clear hierarchy so patients could instantly understand their health status.
