JOB DETAILS 

We are looking for a talented and design-oriented WordPress/Front-End Developer to work with the latest technologies in a team environment using industry standard best-practices. In this role, you'll apply both your design and development skills to design, develop, maintain, test and deploy client WordPress projects. We are looking for someone who is innovative, self-driven, has strong design skills and technical abilities combined with a team-oriented attitude and the ability to lead discussions in gathering requirements.

Candidates must be willing to work hybrid onsite at our Cohoes, NY office.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a WordPress Web Designer/Developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous projects.

• Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.​

• In-depth knowledge of WordPress architecture, theming, and plugin development.

• Experience with responsive design and mobile optimization.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.

• Detail-oriented with a keen eye for design aesthetics and user experience.

• Familiarity with SEO best practices and optimization techniques.

• DNS and other Web Deployment Requirements for a successful website launch 

• Deploying scalable and secure websites following all known best practices

• Developing WCAG accessible websites and using testing tools to confirm compliance

• Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues independently.

Responsibilities:

• Website Design:

  • Create visually appealing and user-friendly website designs for clients using WordPress.

  • Collaborate with the client’s marketing and content teams to ensure the design aligns with brand guidelines and overall business objectives.

• WordPress Development:

  • Customize and implement WordPress themes and templates to meet project requirements.

  • Develop custom plugins and functionality to enhance website performance and user experience.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress trends, technologies, and best practices.

• Responsive Design:

  • Ensure that all websites and web applications are responsive and optimized for various devices, browsers, and screen sizes.

• Client Interaction:

  • Communicate with clients to understand their design preferences, goals, and project requirements.

  • Present design concepts and solutions, incorporating client feedback to achieve project success.

• Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct thorough testing of websites to identify and fix bugs, ensuring optimal performance and functionality.

  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address and resolve issues promptly.

• Documentation:

  • Maintain detailed documentation of website designs, development processes, and any custom code implemented.

• Collaboration:

  • Work closely with clients and cross-functional teams, including graphic designers, content creators, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions.

 

Salary Range

$70,000-$80,000
