The Challenge

The Challenge

United Concierge Medicine (UCM) provides "Virtual ER" services, giving patients 24/7 access to emergency medicine providers. However, their reliance on a third-party white-label application limited their ability to scale and control the roadmap.

Beyond general triage, UCM faced a profound gap in rural healthcare: the lack of Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANEs). Survivors of sexual assault often had to be transferred hours away to receive a forensic exam, adding trauma to an already devastating experience. UCM envisioned TeleSAFE—a service where remote experts could guide on-site staff through exams via video.

Key Challenges
  • Third-party white-label application limited UCM's ability to scale and control their product roadmap
  • Critical shortage of Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANEs) in rural healthcare facilities
  • Survivors of sexual assault often faced hours-long transfers to receive proper forensic care
  • On-site staff needed real-time expert guidance through detailed forensic exam procedures
The Solution

Our Solution

TWC acted as the technical partner to transition UCM from a rented third-party platform to a proprietary asset. We prioritized "People, Process, and Capacity," deploying a dedicated onshore team to rebuild the mobile architecture from the ground up.

For the TeleSAFE initiative, we engineered the mobile application to support high-fidelity, real-time video collaboration between remote SANE experts and on-site nurses. We integrated secure video conferencing (Zoom) and custom call scheduling into a native mobile wrapper.
